Workshop: Purpose to Impact / Online / June 1-2, 2020
Have you ever asked yourself to whom or what you are in service to? Human-centered design teaches us to unlock value by understanding the underlying needs and goals that drive particular user behavior, find unmet opportunities, and address better solutions. However, we rarely inquire into what drives us, the Designers, and the organizations we work for or within – why is that?
Using a generative framework combining conversation and visualization, the workshop participants will work through a sequence of co-creative exercises. They will learn to surface the underlying drivers that govern their actions and see the connections between them clearly. Finally, the group will use their shared collective insight to co-create possible ways to (re)align towards a shared purpose.
Key takeaways:
Learn how to (a) use a simple yet powerful framework for your personal and professional development, (b) create in-service-to statements and visualizations, (c) experience the joy of co-creation and reflection with cross-disciplinary peers.
